Proenza Schouler is such a cool brand. They really embrace the internet and have used Tumblr as inspiration for a video project they did with David Sims and Eddie the Wheel to advertise their SS13 collection. It feels super fresh. As we all spend so much time on the internet and sites like Tumblr . It feels really recognisable and close, yet new and innovative the way the images are layered over each other . Check the SS13 video and another video called ‘Desert Tide’ out below.
I’m adoring all these beauty and fashion animation videos, so clever, beautiful and witty.
It all started with Another magazine who commissioned Quentin Jones in 2010 to feature the coveted Chanel Particulière nail polish. Peter Philips, the creative director at Chanel, is also a graphic designer and he followed this up with an amazing video featuring Chanel make up as robots in 2011. This video was a huge hit. Quentin Jones has just been been featured in LOVE magazine and Hogan recently did a little ‘a day in the life’ of video of Quentin. Other brands she has worked with are Victoria Beckham and Kenzo.
Sadie and Joe Williams are animation masters who have worked with Marc Jacobs and Hillier. They recently did an animation for Topshop featuring SS13 nails.

Love these pistaccio & nudy nails Michelle did too!
Charlotte Tilbury is one of my favourite make up artists. She not only creates amazing looks on for shoots and shows, she also has great style herself. Foxy, funny, feral are words that come to mind whenever I see a piece about her. She has partnered up with net-a-porter to do little cool make up tutorials. The one below is on french smokey eyes to complement their Edit magazine this week which is all about cool Parisian style. It’s easy to watch with great tips like to how to choose your foundation and how brows make a huge difference. Watching it makes you want to go out, put on those heels and jeans with smokey eyes and all. Now where is that great for people watching cafe with the gorgeously grumpy french waiter? Un verre de vin blanc, s’il vous plait!
